Kanye West had a public spat with Kim Kardashian over how they were parenting their kids when they split. But they agreed on joint physical and legal custody.
However, the mother-of-four now says he has been absent from his parenting duties for a long time, and she is raising her kids alone.
Given this, reports say the Skims mogul is considering cutting the last tie she has with him: their children.
Meaning, erasing the Grammy winner’s name from the last names of her kids. “Kim is saying she might even get the kids’ last names changed to Kardashian!” a source tells National Enquirer.
The aspiring lawyer also spoke publicly about the Power hitmaker’s absence, telling on the Call Her Daddy podcast, “It’s probably been a couple months since we’ve heard from Kanye.”
In light of this, the source says, “Kim’s now saying she may as well legally go for full custody. She sees no reason why she wouldn’t get it.”
Kim’s frustration over Ye was also on display recently when she emotionally revealed on The Kardashians that her ex-husband – without naming Kanye – accused her of staging the armed robbery in Paris.
“Even my ex-husband had said, ‘And you faked your robbery for a TV show,’ and had said that in front of all these people,” she said, referring to the shocking incident she endured in 2016. “That was a knife to my heart.”
She noted, “Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you—that’s so close to you, that should know you, that should know how much that affected your life—it just really bothered me. You don’t know who I am.”
Kanye and Kim, who tied the knot in 2014, faced several controversies. But in 2021, the latter filed for divorce, and they officially split in 2022.
