A former WWE champion’s return at Royal Rumble 2026 has potentially been spoiled. The star in question has not competed in a match since the December 29, 2025, edition of WWE RAW.

Nikki Bella hasn’t been in action since coming up short in a Triple Threat match against Stephanie Vaquer and Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s World Championship last month. The promotion was seen testing out footage of Bella’s entrance at the venue in Saudi Arabia earlier this week, and now another hint that she could be returning this weekend has been revealed.

Backstage interviewer Jackie Redmond took to her Instagram story to note that she was on a flight to Saudi Arabia for the PLE. Nikki Bella can be seen in the background, and you can check it out in the image below.

Stephanie Vaquer is still the reigning Women’s World Champion and is scheduled to defend the title against Raquel Rodriguez next week on WWE RAW in a Philadelphia Street Fight.

Nikki Bella’s sister discusses potential WWE return

Brie Bella recently shared that she was hoping to return to wrestling for one final run.

Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, Bella revealed that she has been working hard and was in great shape. The veteran added that she hoped to return to wrestling with Nikki Bella in the future.

“But also, I think there is definitely one last run in me. I’m at the age where I’m strong, I think it’s because I’m working out so hard. But I’m like, there’s for sure a last run in me. But I’m like where it may take me, wherever it may be, I hope it’s with you, wherever that is at, who knows whether it’s for one night or 200 nights. We’ll see. So I feel like those are fun birthday wishes to see if any of them transpires to 43,” she said.

It will be fascinating to see what WWE has planned for Nikki Bella in the weeks ahead.
